Needless to say, I haven't done much around here other than sleep and shower. I finally managed to eat something last night and am finally feeling better. I only pray that Eric and Blake don't get this!
So here is the original post I started last week......
Naps are something I've grown to really appreciate! (Especially since Blake didn't nap very much as an infant). Because he's been under the weather, I've been able to get some projects done. Some of these projects have been on my list for over 4 years!
The first project checked off my to-do-list is a new grocery bag holder. (I can't even show you my holder from before, because as soon as I finished this new one, the old one was OUT). I used the tutorial from here with these modifications: my strips were 26.5 x 3.5 inches (because I needed my holder to fit a lot of bags) and my elastic pieces were 9 inches and 14 inches. I also had to attach a few extra ribbons to mine. Don't you just LOVE pink and orange!!!!
These next two are more of a sneak peak from the fabric I showed you in a previous post. I just can't tell you what they are since they are gifts. Birthdays are coming up you know!
Here is Blake's Valentine shirt. I just LOVE Valentine's Day!!!! Especially as a teacher, I adore the handmade cards, the handwritten names from kindergarteners, the decorated mailboxes that we would make, (I could go on and on). Oh, and I LOVE the color PINK! But most of all, I love designing the cards that I would give to others. Have you started decorating yet?
And last, but definitely not least, I've been doing a LOT of these vests! I have MANY in stock and am taking orders for monograms. Below is a list of colors and sizes. They are $20 and oh.so.cute!
red & black (which make great gifts for those DuQuoin Indians!)
XS (2), S (4), M (5), L (1)
blue & green-
SM (1), XL (1)
*You can pick which color you want on the outside (ex: I chose the pink color to be on the outside but because the vests are reversible, I could have chosen the orange).
*My machine is currently getting serviced, but I should have it back in 1-2 weeks.
