This year we celebrated the 4th in town. Especially since my back has been bothering me so much and my Physical Therapist said I shouldn't be in a car for an extended time. So we packed up the car and headed to Towanda (3 minutes away). We missed the parade, but were able to see the antique fair and other events. Blake also celebrated with his first snow cone. Yum!
After leaving Towanda, we headed to the Engle's where we grilled out and prepped the kids on the firework show we were going to see later on that night.
We arrived at Fairview Park where the crowds were thick and deep. The show was suppose to start around 7. Unfortunately, there were complications. Lots-of-complications. The show didn't end up starting so after waiting for an hour we decided to leave with 2 very sleepy kids. As luck would have it, the fireworks started just as we were making the long trek back to our car.
Blake didn't mind the wait. He was thrilled with the fireworks show.
Caroline and her Daddy also loved the fireworks!
